Events and Education Opportunities
In September we had a great Golf Performance Workshop here at APC with Coach Charlie Scheuber. We joined with CommonGround Golf Course to bring the necessary knowledge about golf performance to our clients!
This Golf Performance Workshop is one stop shop for everything you need to know about strength and conditioning in golf from:
exercises to utilize in strength and power
assessments to find any limitation factors in your swing
warmup exercises that will properly prepare your body for the demand of golf
We will work you through the golf swing in a performance style starting from the feet and finishing at the club head. You will learn how to properly generate force into your swing so that you can start driving the ball further and start lowering your scores.

On June 3, 2017, APC hosted Jeff Boele (Lyons HS and post-collegiate track and field coach) and Carrie Lane (17 years of high level track and field coaching) for a 1-day clinic on why, what, and how to design a strength training program for this athlete population. Now you can purchase the videos of this clinic, which highlight both training theory and practical application for your program design. With your purchase, you will receive a link via email to download 7 videos that are 15-60 minutes in length, including lecture and learn-by-doing sessions. You will also receive the three powerpoints that accompany the lectures.
Carrie Lane, USTFCCA Strength Training Certification Instructor. Former track and field coach at University of Nebraska and University of Virginia.
Jeff Boele, Assistant Coach at Roots Running Project. Former Jumps and Distance coach at Lyons (CO) High School. Meet Director for St. Vrain Invitational.
You can also check out the interview Carrie Lane did with Drew Ryun, who is the son of Jim Ryun and the director of Jim Ryun Running Camps. Jim Ryun is a legend in the track and field world. He was the first high school athlete to run a sub-4:00 mile, a 1968 Olympic silver medalist, and former world record holder in the 1500m. A great listen to go along with the videos above!
