Brian Jordan

Brian has nearly 20 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach. Sixteen years of those years was spent in Professional Baseball. Fifteen of those sixteen years was spent with the Colorado Rockies Organization as their Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach and Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.

 

In the years before his position in professional baseball, Jordan served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Massachusetts Amherst and at the United States Naval Academy (1998). He had the opportunity to work with a variety of sport teams and athletes in both settings.

 

A native of Prospect Harbor, Maine, Jordan received his BS in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College, Springfield, MA, where also he was a pitcher on the baseball team for four years. He is a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Distinction (RSCC*D), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (NSCA). Along with his NSCA membership, he is a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dieticians Association (CPSDA) and the Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society (PBSCCS), where he also served as the NL Minor League Representative and the NL Major League Representative over a 10 year span.

 

Jordan has been a presenter at the PBSCCS Educational Symposium during the 2011 Winter Meetings and for the 2014 Colorado Dugout Club Clinic in Denver, CO. Along with his speaking engagements, he has also authored several articles such as: "How New Facilities are Changing the Game of Baseball and the way Players are Developed" and “Off-Season Strength and Conditioning Overview of the Professional Baseball Player."

 

Brian and his wife Kim and their two boys, Brody and Aidan have lived in Colorado for the past 15 years. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his rare spare time!
